Hi, my name is Captain Jeff Rella. I was born and raised
in the Florida Keys and can take you on a fishing adventure
of a lifetime. My knowledge of the surrounding waters are
unsurpassed and on our quest for large gamefish like Marlin,
Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo and Sailfish, I will ensure a enjoyable
and productive day of fishing. If Wreck or Reef fishing is
your game, for such species like Grouper, Snapper, African
Pompano, Amberjack, Kingfish and much more. Marathon has some
of most productive inshore reef and wrecks of anywhere in
the world. Have a Family charter? No problem. Nothing is better
than watching the kids smiling face when they reel in the
big one!!! Experienced and non-seasoned anglers are welcome. |

Deposits and Cancellations
A $100.00 deposit is due at the time of booking. Cancellations
must be made 72 hours prior to the trip except in March, April,
May and June which require 7 days notice If fishing trip is
canceled due to bad weather, trip will be rescheduled if possible
or your deposit will be refunded.

Dolphin
like this are not uncommon here in the Keys. Although Dolphin
can be caught all year round, "prime time" falls
in the spring and summer months. Dolphin, ranking a favorite
amongst many anglers, can range from schoolie size, which
are 1 to 5 lbs. to 50 lbs and up which are usually called
Slammers or Gaffers. Dolphin are found anywhere from the edge
of the reef, which is 3 miles out to distances over 30 miles.
These fish are also tops on any menu. Just 3 miles offshore,
depths of 80-200 feet can be found and are very productive
of Sailfish and Kingfish. Traveling time of 30 minutes can
take you to the Marathon Humps which are large underwater
mountains that rise about 550 feet off the bottom. Depths
around the humps are near 1500 feet. These underwater mountains
cause very strong currents and trap baitfish at the surface
hence making these fishing grounds extremely productive for
species like Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin and very large Sharks.

|  Reef
and Wreck fishing can provide hours of non stop action and
not to mention some great table fare. Reef fishing mainly
consist of anchoring on a reef flipping out the chum bag and
it's anybody guess what can be on the other end of the line.
Yellowtail , Mutton, Mangrove Snapper, Grouper, Mackerel are
just a few species that can be caught on the reef line. The
reef is about 3 miles offshore, so traveling time to the fishing
grounds is minimal. This kind of fishing is highly recommended
for children and family charters.
Wreck fishing is one of my favorite things to do. This type
of fishing consists of drifting over shipwrecks with live
bait. Once hooked, these fish will try to dig for the bottom
and will go straight for the wreck so stout gear is used to
pry them from their shelter and these tremedous depths . Fishing
depths range from 80 feet to over 200 feet of water. Some
species that can be encountered here are Amberjack, Large
Grouper, African Pompano, Cobia, Kingfish, Permit, Jewfish
and large numbers of Barracuda. Also large predatory sharks
looking for a quick meal will often cruise the surface of
these wrecks and can provide some great light tackle shark
fishing |

Come and spend a day in the gin clear water of the florida
keys spearfishing for your favorite fish. Spearfishing for
grouper, snapper, most blue water species like dolphin or
wahoo. We can even catch a few lobster for the dinner table.
I was born and raised in the florida keys and know the best
spots for spearing big fish. I have been diving the florida
keys since I was a child and my knowledge of local waters
will be invaluable.
